Community Involvement

As a member of the Brampton community for many years I am proud to be involved in the ‘Caring for The Kids' program. We liaison with 5 local schools every year to provide a magical Christmas for needy children and their families. In 2009 we were able to help 15 families and 48 children.  I am also a member of The Historical Bovaird House. I have volunteered there for over 15 years, and I enjoy it very much. In addition I have also done charity teas in my own garden for Breast Cancer Research, Hospital for Sick Children and an African School, where all proceeds went to the organization. I volunteer for the Montgomery Inn and Campbell House and help out in many other historical houses in the city of Toronto. Another group that I'm a part of is the Chinguacousy Garden Club. I love being a part of all these community organizations because I am able to help out and meet some great people along the way.  I am a proud member of the Ontario Culinary Historians and Canadian Society of Sugar Artistry and have won awards from the City of Brampton. This year I am sponsoring the Brampton Rockets Pee Wee hockey team. I am always willing to help my clients with the charities that they support.

Finding the right home for you

When you dream of your dream home, what do you see? Each of us has a vision of what it will be, but getting as close to that vision as possible is a practical, step-by-step process that begins with finding a REALTOR®. A REALTOR® is your best ally throughout the home buying process. He or she can provide expert advice and help you determine how much you can afford, what kind of home you can buy in that price range, and where it may be located. Location is probally one of the most important factors when purchasing a home. First you need to think what type of area is best suitable for you.

Urban: Urban communities offer the broadest range of housing types, but generally at higher prices than similar-sized homes in non-urban locations.

Suburban: The suburbs are typically made up of newer neighbourhoods, schools and shopping centres. Prices may or may not be lower than those of the central city, but you often get more square footage, larger rooms and bigger lots.

Smaller towns and cities: A slower-paced lifestyle and lower taxes and housing prices are often big draws to Ontario's smaller communities. There are fewer types of homes available and the number for sale could be limited.

Rural: A stream flowing over a few acres sounds appealing and your housing budget will often buy you more in a rural setting than any alternative above

Once you have thought about the area that would best be suitable for you finding a your dream home can be that much easier.

I can help find your dream home, all you have to do is contact me and we can get started right away.

Client Testimonials

These are a few things that clients have said about working with me:

"It was an absolute joy to have Lydia Robertson as my agent for both selling and buying real estate. I have had the privilege of having Lydia be my agent for our very first purchase 15 years ago. A very dedicated and knowledgeable agent, she always goes the extra mile to ensure that our needs are met. When we did not have a vehicle, she gladly whisked us away in her car to look at countless homes. Always cheerful and available, Lydia is the epitome of a great agent and i would recommend her to anyone."

T. Yamanouchi, Toronto

I have known Lydia for quite a number of years, as a volunteer with Bovaird House.  When I wanted to sell my home, while I had a number of agent contacts, I chose Lydia for her insight and selling skills.  She set my house price higher than the other agents, took me around to view other comparables in my neighbourhood, explained exactly what she wanted done to my house before it went on the market, and set a timetable.  My house was sold for 99% of the asking price meeting both our time lines.  I have recommended Lydia to many people for her professionalism, vast experience and her understanding of her clients needs.

G. Berger, Senior Law Clerk, Brampton

"I recently bought my first house with my wife and was admittedly nervous given all the factors involved.  Lydia was an extremely generous and committed individual from the start and we consider her more as a friend than a real estate agent.  She took whole afternoons on a couple of occasions to show us a variety of homes in our area, helping us to narrow down what we were looking for and answering every one of the hundreds of questions we had.  With the home we eventually bought, Lydia let us know as soon as it went it on the market and we managed to get a viewing that very night.  She was able to get the first offer in and we got the house of our dreams!  Thanks Lydia!"

A. Carter, Brampton

"I've had the greatest pleasure in knowing Lydia for over 23 years (2 purchases and 3 ). Lydia has vast knowledge and experience in the real estate market. Her people skills the gifts to assist others which I have called upon on more than on occasion is one of her greatest attributes. Lydia's easy going nature o selling at top price our home by 2p.m and closing our purchase by 10 p.m. the same night shows her dedication to her clients. Not only did Lydia last year find us our "dream" home but also presented us with a "dream" wedding cake!"

S. Doyle, Cooperate Law Clerk, Brampton

"I have known Lydia for about 18 years, a very loyal friend and dedicated worker. She was there for me whenever i needed her. She always knew what I wanted as if she was reading my mind. I really appreciate Lydia's commitment in keeping up to date on local real estate. She has tremendous experience in real estate and there is no doubt and hesitation in recommending her to anyone."

Dr. Z. Khan, Oakville

"She's very polite, helpful, energetic and a good listener. I can trust her and talk to her, and openly ask her questions knowing that she will give me good advice. I would definitely work with her again and recommend her."

V. Kalogerakis, Brampton

"We've been very fortunate to find a real estate agent that cares more about finding the best home for our growing family on several occasions rather than just doing her job.   Over the past fourteen years, Lydia has provided top notch service and always goes above and beyond. Once you go Lydia, you'll never to go back. Lydia is our agent for life. I recommend no one else but Lydia Robertson."
