Professional Background

My career has always been affiliated with the Real Estate business. Whether is was selling advertising to New Home Builders or Real Estate professionals, it has been something I truly enjoyed. I looked forward to working and often put in long hours to be sure my clients demands were fulfilled. So my move into actually selling Real Estate myself seemed a natural progression from my many years associated with Realtors through Metroland Media's "Brampton Guardian" newspaper.

I know my years of customer service, my excellent communication skills and knowledge in this field, will give me the advantage needed to help all of my clients find the home of their dreams as quickly and pleasantly as possible.

Personal Background

I literally grew up in the west end of the GTA. My family moved to Mississauga from Toronto's east end, where I was born & lived until I was 12. I have been a resident of Mississauga ever since and have always worked in the surrounding area. I currently live right in the Heart of Mississauga. 

I own 2 Norfolk Terriers and they think I am amazing - but that's because I feed and walk them twice a day! They are obviously spoiled and have far too many toys. When I go out, they have the run of the house. It doesn't  matter how long I'm gone, I am given the best welcome every time I come through the door!  Children & pets - they have a way of changing your prespective on everything - and mostly for the better!

I took up 'decorative' painting a few years back and found I get a great deal of enjoyment from the creative process. Even though I am not as good as some of my fellow painters, I do enjoy it and find it is a very relaxing hobby. Some say maybe I should sell some, but find it hard to part with them sometime. So I keep accumulating or giving them to friends.

Education

REALTORS® in Ontario must complete a rigorous learning program required for registration under the Real Estate and Business Brokers Act.  These licensing education courses are offered by the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) on behalf of the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO),which administers the Act.

Although I have only been practicing real estate for the past 3 years, I acquired my Real Estate licence over 20 years ago and kept it current that entire time by following the education standards and upgrading when I saw something I was interested in that could help me along the way.

Community Involvement

I’m proud to be involved in the CENTURY 21 Millennium Inc. ‘Caring for Kids' program. 

Each year we liaise with local schools so we can provide a magical Christmas for needy children and their families.  Once again in 2013, we were able to lend a helping hand to even more families and children than ever before in order that they would be able to enjoy a very Merry Christmas.

But you know, I'm not sure if we get more out of the process or the children & families do, but I know it is a very rewarding, worth while endeavour and I love doing it. We are once again on track go to work for this years' families -- we have 12 families and 36 children we look forward to helping have a better Holiday Season.

Home Ownership Incentive

RRSP Home Buyers’ Plan (HBP)

The government of Canada’s Home Buyers’ Plan allows qualified buyers to withdraw a maximum of $25,000 tax free from their RRSP’s to purchase or build a house.  If your spouse is also eligible, you can each withdraw up to $25,000 towards the downpayment, for a total of $50,000.  No income tax is deducted from these funds, as long as they are repaid to the RRSP according to the government’s repayment schedule. 

How the Plan Works:  You may participate in the plan if you (or your spouse) have not owned a home which you occupied as your principal residence in the last five years. 

Repayment Schedule - The money you withdraw from your RRSP must be repaid over a period of no more than 15 years to retain its tax deferred status.  Your repayment period starts the second year following the year you made your withdrawls.  If you pay less then your scheduled annual payments, the amount that you don’t repay must be reported as income on your tax return for that year. 

For example, in October 2014 you withdraw $24,000 from your RRSP to finance the purchase of your home.  Your first annual repayment of $1,600 ($24,000 divided by 15 years) is due by December 31, 2016.

  • Since June 2010, I was once again elected to the Board of Directors of my condominium, PCC 230. I rejoined with the intention of maintaining the quality of service and appearance of our building.  We have a wonderful Condo and keeping ahead of any needed  maintenance issues is always in the best interest of all owners. This will help keep the value of our units at the best possible price considering the number of new units coming on the Mississauga market, one of the fastest growing condominium areas in the GTA.
