Happy New Year everyone. 2014 promises to be every bit as exciting and interesting as 2013. As of December 31, 2013, our office was #1 in Southeast Saskatchewan, based on the Matrix Provincial MLS stats. The numbers indicate dollar volumes were up slightly and unit sales units down slightly in 2013, so overall, a banner year once again.
What we see going into 2013 is some adjustment in pricing, as inventories rise, and the vacancy rate rises as well. House prices hit record levels in 2013, and we expect a little easing off from that over the first part of this year. Having said that, homes are selling quickly if they are priced right for the market, and staged to show off the property's best featurures. Our agents will help you decide how to reduce clutter, where to do minor improvements, and then set a price that encourages offers, to get you the highest price possible in our current market.
