Housing Starts Ahead of ‘09 in the Prairies
Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp. (CMHC) released a report showing that homebuilders had a busy July in Saskatoon and Regina.
Year to date, Regina has seen an increase of 61.6% in housing starts.
Saskatoon reported 978 housing starts compared to 446 during the first seven months last year. This area has seen some severe weather this summer which has been challenging for residential construction.
