Easter Seals Silent Auction - August 24, 2011

After months of planning the Silent Auction night at Cameron's Brewery was a success.  Many people came to have fun and participate in the silent auction that had great prizes.   People came to be a part of a great cause of sending a few disabled kids to Summer Camp.

The planning and execution of this event started slowly.  Meetings were held to strategize how to raise funds with the aim of sending disabled children to a fun filled camp.  Raffle draws were held in our sales meetings and people particpated in the fun and enjoyed the prizes that they won.  The small committee who had undertaken the task to raise funds quietly worked to make sure that the event was well attended.

The venue at Cameron's Brewery in Oakville seemed the unlikely place to hold an event like this.  It was different amidst the vats and machinery used to ferment and manufacture one of our local beers, yet it was decorated in a way to make those who came enjoy the evening with pleasure.  There were lots of items on auction and the food and drinks were flowing.  There were games and prizes to be won   It was indeed a fun filled night even if it was a stormy one.
