2010 Was a Positive Year For Saskatchewan Real Estate

Saskatchewan experienced balanced real estate market conditions in 2010.

The number of sales in 2010 was down slightly in both the Regina and Saskatoon areas. However, Saskatoon saw a minor drop in sales volume of 2% while Regina saw a slight increase in sales volume of 1%.

The selling prices for homes in 2010 were $258,069 in Regina (up 6%) and an average price of $257,426 in Saskatoon (on par to 2009 numbers). Remember – prices vary from area to area. For an accurate estimate of the value of your home, contact a CENTURY 21 Conexus Realty Ltd. expert.

The Association of Regina REALTORS® Inc. and the Saskatoon Region Association of REALTORS® are anticipating an active 2011 housing market. Assuming the economy performs well and job and population growth remain steady, there should be a strong demand in 2011.
