Testimonial

I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the effort Mari Carr put forth in making my most recent purchase and sale a very smooth one.  This purchase was under extreme time restrictions, was convoluted and complicated.  If it was not for her extensive real estate knowledge and dedication this purchase would not have come to fruition and I would have been wondering ...

Testimonial

In June of 2012 I decided to move from B.C. to Alberta, not knowing of a real estate agent to contact I turned to the Internet, this is where the whole process of moving instantly became so much easier for me.  Mari Carr was the first person I read about and called her immediately after reading her profile, she got to work right away looking for what I wanted, when I arrived in Airdrie she had ...

Testimonial

I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge Mari Carr and the fantastic job she did for us this past summer on the sale of our Airdrie home. As we were in the process of relocating to the Edmonton area and under a bit of a time constraint, Mari helped make the process less stressful. She offered us honest, expert advice on different ways to better show our home, along with realistic expectations. ...

CrossFit Fundraiser Challenge

On November 3rd, 2012 I am participating in a CrossFit 403 Challenge to raise money for Special Olympians in our community.  I am nervous.  For 6 hours I will be doing an intense CrossFit workout every hour on the hour.  I appreciate the family and friends who are supporting me in this venture and I will report back with my $$ raised and how I did after I recover for a day or two!

Sometimes you just have to be you!

´OK I am a mother of 4.  And I drive a minivan.  I am most often seen wearing yoga pants and flip flops (much to my broker's dismay I'm sure).  But sometimes I just want to be different.  Sometimes I want to let my inner diva out.  These boots are my way of saying "Here I am world - watch out".  Actually, these boots don't just "say" that, they SHOUT it.  ...

Helping new agents helps us all

I love helping new agents.   I find that the more questions I answer the more I learn about the industry and about how much I am learning everyday as well!  I love new agent's enthusiasm - it reminds me of my children when they learn a new skill.  Every experience is a huge deal to them and they are like kids at Christmas with the first good offer they put together.  ...

You are not in the hospital anymore

When I first got into selling real estate I was scared.   Not just nervous.  Downright scared.   For 15 years I had been an RN, helping the sick and injured.   It had been an emotionally fulfilling career in a lot of ways.  Now I was moving on to something completely different.  I had my first taste of what a big leap I had taken when I sat at my first ...

Leah's view: Real estate and life

Everytime I give my 5 year old daughter my camera I never know what I am going to find when I download my pictures.   I have put together a collage of some pictures Leah has taken over the last year and I consider it her view of real estate and being Mommy's helper.

Door knocking experiences

When I set out with my 4 year old daughter to knock on a doors a few weeks ago I never expected to meet someone who would profoundly affect me the way Judy did.  Most people who answered their doors when Leah and I knocked would give us a guarded hello and politely take my flyer.  Not Judy.  Judy promptly invited us into her home.  With Leah playing with a spirited puppy Judy ...

Happy Holidays

To all of my clients, friends and neighbors, I would like to thank each of you for your support as I have navigated my way through the real estate market over the past year.  Whether it is asking me how I am doing, asking questions about the market or supporting me in other ways I appreciate all of you. It would be impossible to name everyone this post is aimed at, but I would like to thank ...
