Hello, I'm Mario Spina and welcome to my website.
Woodstock is poised for great things and you are looking in the right place. I am a FULL TIME REALTOR with a very sound knowledge of the city, area and its' developments. It would be my pleasure to assist you with any of your real estate needs in our community.
I received my Bachelor of Engineering from Ryerson Unversity in 1990 in the Industrial and Mechanical fields. Afterwards, I was an Engineer for 16 years in the Automotive sector but I have always been involved with local real estate since 1990 as an investor. I was fortunate to have worked my entire career as an Engineer here in Woodstock, first at Cambridge Industries for 5 years in plastics and then at Standard Tube (now ArcelorMittal) for the remaining 11 years. There I started as the Senior Industrial Engineer and worked my way up to the Continuous Improvement Manager. Due to deteriorating business conditions, I was downsized in May, 2008 with no regrets. I gained valuable work and life experiences during those years and I also developed strong skills in problem-solving and became very resourcefull and thorough.
Involved as an Executive Committe Member of the WOODSTOCK HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION. This association is comprised of the majority of Oxford County's builders, tradespeople and contractors and we meet monthly to discuss our local market, its' developments and new building technologies. Woodstock is recognized throughout South-Western Ontario for having quality builders and tradespeople.
I also act as the liason contact between the membership and the City and County municipal bodies.
Through this network of professionals, I can ensure that my clients receive the best building advice from Oxford County's best!
I am very proud to have called Woodstock "home" my entire life and I now have the privilege of raising my own family here too. I am the proud father of 3 and have been happily married for over 16 years.
I have a strong passion for soccer and have been involved with the Woodstock Soccer Club as a Premier level coach. I plan to return to coaching soon as my son is taking a very strong interest in the game.
I was also involved with a local fundraiser with the Colombo Club of Oxford and here I helped managed a bursary program for all county highschools for 5 years. I am proud to say that each year, we donated $700 to a student from each of the seven county highschools. Each entrant was to submit a one page essay on the effects of mulit-culturalism in Canada and most of the submissions were outstanding. I had the pleasure of meeting some of our bright local students.
