PROPERTY TRANSFER TAX

The property transfer tax is a provincial tax payable in B.C.  It is due and payable when you purchase a property in B.C.  You will pay a tax of 1% on the first $200 000.00 and 2% on the balance.  There are few exceptions.  One exception is outlined below.  For a more detailed explanation of the tax and exemptions that may be available click on this link
