School's Out and Summer has Arrived
Summer has begun! And what a great start....sunshine and more sunshine. What a great place to be during these summer months. Close to any body of water.....along a white sandy beach (which always makes a tan look nice).....soaking up our beautiful PEI summers.
I remember the first summer I had on PEI very well......I worked night shift as a University student, just so I could have the sunny days to enjoy the beaches and the daily get togethers......That summer was filled with many great memories and a huge lack of good solid sleep.....but it was worth every second.
Now, my 4 children, being raised on PEI, can't wait for this time of year. "We're heading to the beach, Dad", is practically a daily prayer when they wake.....usually brought up over my morning coffee. With a smile....I can understand their urgency........I was them........once, not so long ago.
