Pointe-Claire approves 750-unit housing project

Wednesday, September 12, 2012 -

While Pointe-Claire council tried to keep the name of the land owners anonymous as it approved plans for a 750-unit housing project on Monday, The Gazette confirmed Tuesday that two lots on St. Jean Blvd. owned by FP Innovations are in play.

FP Innovations owns the properties at 570 St. Jean Blvd., its head office; and 580 St. Jean Blvd., an unoccupied office building. Both are south of Hymus Blvd., next to Le Manoir. The cadastral numbers listed under these two addresses on the municipal valuation roll correspond to two of the three contiguous lots the city approved as part of this development project. The third lot, which is part of the project, was sold by FP Innovations to a developer about six years ago, said Nathalie Guilbault, head of corporate communications at FP Innovations.
