Residential Sales Weaken in Québec in August

Sept 27, 2012  - The number of residential sales concluded by a real estate broker in Québec decreased by 6 per cent in August 2012 compared to August 2011. This represents the second decrease in the past three months. In June, the decrease in sales
(-1 per cent) put an end to a series of twelve consecutive monthly increases. August's drop in sales was widespread across all of the province's metropolitan areas without exception: Gatineau, -3 per cent; Québec City, -26 per cent; Montréal, -7 per cent; Saguenay, -9 per cent; Sherbrooke, -19 per cent and Trois-Rivières, -32 per cent.
