Professional Background

 I would like to give you some of my background information.

This is a brief insite into my employment experience, so that you can better judge that I am the " right "  Real Estate Agent for you.

I have  had a few very interesting, challenging and rewarding job opportunities during my life. so far -

I worked with the Ministry of Community & Social Services, Family Benefits Branch for 17 years.  Social Services is a very rewarding, and demanding profession. 

I also had Administrative contract work with the Belleville Ontario Provincial Police Department, as well as the Cobourg Police Force.  This taught me dicipline, responsibility, and dedication. 

Just prior to my obtaining my Real Estate license, for five years, I fulfilled Administration duties in a Real Estate Sales Office.  Paperwork may be teatious, but as we well know, a very important component of any transaction. This can make or break a deal.  I have extensive background in administration.

I am now a licensed Real Estate Salesperson with Century 21 All-Pro Realty in my hometown and I am hometown proud. 

I must say that my most rewarding job of all has been being a good wife to my husband John, and mother to our two wonderful children, Kelly and Matt.   I am proud of the way I have conducted my life, my good moral judgement, work ethic and committment and passion for life.

I hope that I am the type of person you would want working diligently on your behalf. 

 

Personal Background

   I have been a resident of Cobourg all my life.  I was born and raised in Cobourg and I am very proud of that fact.   My husband and I have had opportunities to move to the East Coast and the West Coast through employment over the years, however, we feel the picturesque setting, and peaceful, friendly atmosphere of the Town of Cobourg, and County of Northumberland, is unsurpassed.  The Cobourg slogan says it perfectly -  "Ontario's feel good town".  It is definitely more than you expect.  If it's not here, we are in such a great location to Toronto, Barrie, Kingston etc. the larger centres are only an hour or two away.  We felt Cobourg was the perfect place to raise our family, and now look forward to retiring here.

Specialties

I specialize primarily in residential sales, condos, new sub-division property, and vacant land.  But I have experienced collegues who deal in investment, commercial and industrial sales.  There is no real estate matter we can't help you with.  Please note that my sales are under the umbrella of The Garry and Liz Liboiron Team, and are not recorded separately. 

Community Involvement

               I have volunteered services for charitable events for the following: Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer Society,  Rotary, and  Capitol Theatre.  I was on the organizing committee for the ALS Sportsnite Dinner for 2009, 2011, and 2013.

Personal Interests

In my spare time I like to garden, spend time with family, play cards and golf with friends,  I watch Home & Garden Television.

I especially love to vacation in the Carribean.  I love the sunshine, an island breeze and a tropical cocktail .  

I am enjoying watching my grandchildren grow up, and spending time with them, friends and family. 

 I  am  AN ANIMAL  LOVER !!                 

    

   I guess it is in my blood as my Grandfather was a veterinarian.

My little dog KOBI just brightens my day when he greets me wagging his tale with joy. 

 MY FAVORITE THINGS ARE THE SIMPLE PLEASURES, TO ME THEY ARE PRICELESS.

 

Attributes to living in Northumberland County

There are bachelor apartments, brand new homes, modern developments, heritage settings, rural properties and estates, recreational property, and much more.

The County has wonderful medical facilities ie. new state of the art -Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg, Memorial Hospital in Trent Hills and Port Hope Community Health Centre.

Northumberland County offers excellent educational facilities, ie Public and Catholic elementary and secondary schools. 

This community has activities and programs geared to all ages ie. Waterfront Festivals, Concerts, Waterfront trails, Organized sports activities, Northumberland YMCA. Golf Courses, Gym and Fitness Facilities, Alternative Therapy Practitioners and Spas, thriving Arts and Theatre.

HELPFUL HINTS FOR SELLING

Listing your home is a big commitment.  You must be prepared.  There will be prospective buyers and agents who will call on  short notice and want to view your property.  You want to make a winning "first impression".   If your home shows well and has a "wow" factor,  clients are more likely to remember it, and want to come to have a second look.  So staging is a must ! Outside attractive curb appeal is accomplished by having the  lawn cut or walk shovelled, dog dodo picked up, a welcome mat, or fresh flower pot , cleanly swept front porch and fresh front door etc.    When someone is walking into the house it needs to smell clean and fresh. ( not of artificial air fresheners which just give the appearance of disguising or covering something up.) Some people like to bake before a showing or open house, which is a nice touch, but strickly a personal choice.   If possible, open windows and air out the house before the showing/open house.     Be sure to paint tired walls, freshen up the interior decor, clean, clean, clean, and declutter.  It is a must.  Put your personal bath items away under the bathroom sink.  You need to depersonalize by removing famly photos and religious items,  pick up dirty laundry, have beds nicely made, and turn on all lights even during daytime showings.  You can open blinds and drapes to give the house a bright and airy feeling.  You could even have nice soft music playing for atmosphere.   Try to remove any indication of  pets, ie. dog dishes, leashes, or kitty litter boxes.   These are a few basic tips that will make a difference in selling your home!

I attend yearly the Ontario Real Estate Association College programs for ongoing licensing requirements as a licensed and registered real estate agent in Ontario. My goal is to be a respected, successful Real Estate Representative in my community.
