Located at the back of T.D. Bank, with an entry that is unmistakable, Bruce Wine Bar is just what the doctor ordered. Ready for a ‘modern vibe experience’ fashioned to hit you the moment you enter Bruce Wine Bar?
Bruce Wine Bar is nestled behind the back of an old heritage building on Bruce Street in Thornbury and opened in February of 2011, under owners, Jennifer and Steven Vipond. New, modern, providing a change from the regular ‘scene’, Bruce Wine Bar takes on a different approach to a very enjoyable, fun filled evening with remarkable wine and mouth-watering food.
Chef Shaun Edmonstone is incredibly diligent and passionate with every ingredient he adds to his dishes. His years of experience working in five star restaurants, downtown Toronto, led him back to his hometown to continue knocking the socks off of anyone who visits. Dedicated to serving the freshest, seasonal and local food (where possible), in a small plate format, Bruce seats 30 casual diners, wine lovers and cocktail sippers on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. The portion sizes allow you to taste more than one item from the menu. “Great for sharing and great for socializing,” suggests Jennifer.
This 100 year old Pagoda building was entirely renovated and is now a super relaxed, very chilled space, with exquisite food and a tantalizing wine list that’s been carefully selected to compliment your meal, as well as your tastes. It’s as snug as hanging out in someone’s loft apartment.
The doors open at five and every Friday night you’ll be treated to live, local music, from 8 to 11 p.m. Open for private parties, special events, live music, dinner and furthermore, a variety of exceptional, top quality wines!
