I am just heading out to show homes to a young couple. It is rainy, cold and getting darker. A reminder to homeowners, that this time of year, when your house is being shown, it is great to have lights on and heat up. To come in out of the damp darkness, a bright and warm house feels so inviting. First impressions do matter.

It is very strange that in our little neck of the wood, Rossland can have a foot of snow, Fruitvale snow on the hillsides, Trail bare and in my little "mini-climate" I was out working in the garden today. I was driving into my office this morning, and noticed how many people I know and saw many people that I have sold a house to, sold a house for, showed their house or did an evaluation for them. My father is elderly and is very independant, normally. However, he has been very sick since Friday, and is hospitalized in our local, incredible facility. He has been receiving excellent and compassionate care. We are so lucky to have this facility in our City. This is OPEN HOUSE week-end, we are having several on Saturday, hopefully this sunny and warm weather holds.

This week-end was gorgeous! I picked apples, carrots, tomatoes, beets and lots of fresh herbs. Living in the Kootenays truly gives you 4 seasons to enjoy. We had 2 bears this morning and a deer and fawn yesterday in our yard. Back to work today under glorious blue skies. Kudos to Trail for obtaining 5 stars in the International Competition of Communities in Bloom, the City still looks amazing with ...
