Rainy day....warm in houses

I am just heading out to show homes to a young couple. It is rainy, cold and getting darker. A reminder to homeowners, that this time of year, when your house is being shown, it is great to have lights on and heat up. To come in out of the damp darkness, a bright and warm house feels so inviting. First impressions do matter.

Gardening in the Kootenays

It is very strange that in our little neck of the wood, Rossland can have a foot of snow, Fruitvale snow on the hillsides, Trail bare and in my little "mini-climate" I was out working in the garden today. Mind you, I was cleaning up, but still had sunflowers to pick for the birds, bulbs to plant, and garden to till (okay, Richard does that for me). I love it! Nothing feels better than being in your yard, big or small, and enjoying your home. It is my wish for everyone.

25 years in Real Estate and very thankful

I was driving into my office this morning, and noticed how many people I know and saw many people that I have sold a house to, sold a house for, showed their house or did an evaluation for them. It hit me very hard how blessed I have been to have been invited into so many homes in my community. I meet the most incredible people, some in very trying times, some in the best times of their lives, some in financial trouble, some so excited to get their first home, new marriages and on and on. What an incredible honor to be trusted with these incredibly private areas of peoples lives. To be invited into someone's home is an honour and a privledge that I will always look upon as the best and most important part of my career. Thank you to all.

Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital

My father is elderly and is very independant, normally. However, he has been very sick since Friday, and is hospitalized in our local, incredible facility. He has been receiving excellent and compassionate care. We are so lucky to have this facility in our City. This is OPEN HOUSE week-end, we are having several on Saturday, hopefully this sunny and warm weather holds.
