According to the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), national resale housing activity saw a slight rise in activity in November 2011 from the previous month. This is the third straight month in a row where sales activity rose from the previous month. Some of the highlights from the report are:

  • From October 2011 to November 2011, sales activity rose a slight 0.5%
  • Year-to-date sales remained in line with the ten year average, but rose ahead of last year’s levels
  • Newly listed homes were down 3.4% from October to November
  • The national housing market is still fairly balanced, but is edging closer to a seller’s market
  • A 4.6% year-over-year gain for the national average price was seen in November, making it the smallest increase since January
