Spring time curb appeal

April showers bring May flowers! What better time to start getting your yard in tip top shape for the upcoming months. Whether or not you are selling your home, or just a proud homeowner, landscaping and grooming your yard can have a huge effect on the overall appeal of your home.

Sellers have heard it again and again, but the biggest impression made on a potential buyer is the first impression; and that means great curb appeal. Having an attractive exterior of your home and landscaping lets potential buyers know that you take pride in your home and it infers that you have maintained and taken care of both the interior and the exterior of your house. The curb appeal a home has entices buyers to want to see more!

This spring be sure to groom your yard; this means, getting rid of the past season’s debris, cleaning up the yard and hedges, adding fresh soil and of course planting flowers. You don’t have to be a seasoned gardener to showcase your yard. Consider adding colourful potted plants throughout the garden and front walkways. Hanging baskets also can add a warm and inviting appeal to any front porch.

Take the time now to change update exterior lighting, add a fresh coat of paint to garage doors and front doors and to clean those windows. Just remember, the first impression is a lasting impression!
