New Record Set For April

There were 57,669 homes sold in April 2016 that's 10.3% increase from last year.

The prices were up due to short supply in the market, the number of listing were down by 3.7% from a year ago to 103,028, and Toronto area listings were down 10.3% compared to April of 2015.

Home owners are not selling their homes because they think they might not find the property they want due to the short inventory and multiple offers as a result homeowners are deciding to stay where they are and gain capital on their property.

Still Canadian Real Estate Association says April sales were up year-over-year about 70% of all local markets compared with last year boosted by B.C and the Toronto region.
