Calgary's Resale Condominium Market Grows by Double Digits over Feb 2012

The Calgary condo market is in recovery mode with a double digit price increase from Feb 2012.  Apartment style condos experienced a growth of 13% while townhouse condo sales grew by almost 9%.  Benchmark prices are still 14% below peak levels. TD Predicts a Strong Year in Calgary and Area Residential Real Estate Sales

TD Bank predicts an almost 3% price increase in Calgary and area residential properties in 2013 and almost 2% in 2014.  They said average home prices will rise from $411,927 in 2012 to $423,400 this year. They are predicting a slight increase in sales in 2013 (from 21,212 to 27,700) and a slight dip in 2014, to 27,500.

Bank of Canada keeps interest rates unchanged
