Professional Background

I began my career in sales when my youngest son was born. We had just moved to a new city and I knew one person .I found myself where many young mothers do. I was stuck between needing extra income and wanting to be home with my children.My answer came from an unlikely source, a Welcome Wagon visit for a Mary Kay facial.When we were through the consultant  showed me the marketing plan. I gave her a million reasons why I couldn't do sales. I did agree to look at  the information. I had to admit it was perfect for us.It allowed me to work when my husband could be home and gave us some extra cash flow.I met amazing people,learned how to listen to a customers needs,and learned how to run my own business. It was a great opportunity and I worked as a Team Leader helping other women do the same thing. The answer is no, I didn't get a car. My best friend did though so I rode in hers!

We moved back to Estevan a few years later. Once again decided to run my own business after taking an Entrepreneur Coarse through Deloitte & Touche.I also worked for a local paper doing advertising sales.It was during one of these sales calls one of my customers invited me to join him as a Realtor at Century 21. After completing my licensing requirements I did just that in 2000.I have worked in several positions here at Century 21 Border Real Estate Service.These experiences have given me a complete understanding of the real estate business from advertising and marketing, training new agents to working as a Realtor.I believe this makes me unique and an excellent choice as your Realtor.

I love to learn ! In the past year I have taken a coarse with SAIT in Supervisory Skills and am currently enrolled in an Interior Design Course. I love houses and enjoy interior design and decorating. I am focusing my studies on real estate staging, re-design and green design. It is all fabulous but these are the areas I am passionate about.

Personal Interests

When I am not working you will likely find me hanging out close to home.If you come for coffee it likely won't be the same twice. I am forever arranging, painting,and revamping our home. You will see stacks of home magazines and HGTV will be on the TV unless I gave up the remote . In that case it will be sports.We love our home and yard. We are developing a new acreage and it is exciting.The trees are coming and the fence is up! I can not wait for spring to see what has survived.

We are looking forward to some camping this summer. Good times with family and friends.I am an animal lover and have quite a collection.While I was on the Estevan Humane Society Board I only brought home one dog and one cat. I thought that was pretty good !Good thing I didn't have an acreage then.I love magazines, quilting, music & concerts. I enjoy time with family and friends. I have been in my Beta Sigma Phi group for over 15 years and look forward to meeting with these fabulous ladies twice a month. I volunteer when I can and the cause is right.I try not to spread myself too thin and really focus on causes near and dear to me.

Personal Background

Estevan is my home town. I have left several times, but have always returned. I am married to my fabulous husband Bryan. We have two grown sons, and I am lucky to have them living in the area.I am new to acreage living and have found that I love it. I also have 3 dogs .Honey Dew is a rescue from the Estevan Humane Society.

In my spare time I enjoy camping, walking the dogs, quilting , home renovations and landscaping. I am blessed with a handy husband. What ever I can dream up for the house or yard he makes happen.We make a great team.

Professional Interests

Homes fascinate me.For as long as I can remember I have enjoyed going to homes and seeing how different each one is.In my own home I am constantly changing things and always delighted by the new look.I am a shelter magazine addict, have read countless books on decor, attended classes and most recently enrolled in a full course in interior design.It is my passion.

When viewing homes with my buyers I believe I offer more than my skills as a Realtor.I am able to help them with the vision of what a home could be. On the other hand I can point out limitations of a home that wont be an easy fix.When I meet with Sellers I can give great advise on changes that should be made and staging advise. We only get that one chance to make a first impression and it is so important when marketing a home.

Community Appreciation and Giving Back

Estevan is my home town. We are a busy community but we take time to help out when we can.I was touched personally by the caring of Estevan residents in 1998. In a moment our lives changed when our house was struck by lightening and caught on fire. We lost about 2/3 of our belongings and our home.We got out with what we had on. Our children were 7 and 9 years old at the time.Thankfully we all were safe including the pets.

That night our neighbours took us in until the Days Inn generously gave us a room . Other neighbours wiped water off of my photo albums that the firemen brought out later that night. When we got up in the morning packages of clothes for the boys and neccessities were dropped of at the front desk. Somewhere between 3:00 and 7:00 am people had taken the time to provide for us. Unbelievable! The giving continued from finding a rental home until ours was rebuilt to donations. I was thrilled to find a place to call home but we had nothing to put in it ! On  "Moving Day" friends and co-workers showed up with whatever they had. Magically by that night we had a furnished home including bunk beds for the boys.Our appreciation for this community can not be put into words.

We try to give back whenever we can whether it be financially or with volunteer time.You will see us out and about whether it is manning my usual post at the United Way telethon, fund raising for families, walking in Relay for Life or supporting minor sports.We have served on various boards and commities and will continue to do so.

Education

My training as a Realtor included Residential Real Estate ,Farms & Acreages,Real Property Law,  Real Estate Appraisal and Mortgage Financing and Commercial Real Estate. I have continuously upgraded my education will coarses in Buyers Representation, Seniors Specialist and Agency Awareness to name a few.In July I completed the ethics education required for the REALTOR Code.

Currently I am taking a course in interior design.
