Specialties

I enjoy working all sides of the real estate market, from first-time buyers, to investment properties, to condos, and since I grew up on a farm this is an area of interest, cottages and luxury homes.  Real Estate is a speciality in itself and every deal is different, it creates variety in the job to have many properties to work on.

Personal Interests

I love spending time with my Grandchildren and being Nana.  Of course I am in the sandwich generation and visit with my Mom in Oshawa every week.  I enjoy "My time" at the Gym 5 mornings a week.  Do spend a lot of time it seems in the grocery store as I like to have our fridge full.  Other time is spent walking our family dog "Bert" an English Springer Spaniel, who is a real character, and when time permits we walk morning and night.  Personal improvement and learning new things is important to my growth, and I enjoy reading fiction books when time permits.

Education

Cambray Public School

Lindsay Collegiate and Vocational Institute

Professional Background

After attending Lindsay Collegiate and Vocational Institute, I worked in the Corporate world for over 25 years in the various accounting positions.  I worked my way from proof machine teller in the Royal Bank to Controller of a computer company.  Great experience leading me to this chapter in my career of Real Estate

Professional Interests

I am and have been a member of the Aurora Leisure Complex since it opened approx 20 years ago.  I faithfully attend 6 a.m. classes 5 mornings a week.  Not sure it has helped my body but it is good for the mind.

I was a volunteer for the Town of Aurora for last 2 years on the Volunteer Committee Member for the Canada Day Parade Committee in Aurora.  We raised funds and brought the parade back to Aurora in great style last year and we had another hit this year.  Another part of this Volunteer job was planting little Canada flags on the lawns of Aurora residence.  It is a very rewarding job, but also a very busy one.

Currently I Volunteer on various events throughout the Region and the Town.

Personal Background

I have lived in Aurora for over 30years with my husband Jim (of many years) and been in real estate since 1993.  I love to help Buyers find the right home and Sellers sell their existing home, to move on to the next chapter in their life.  I have been very fortunate to have met and accumulated a large number of friends in the business of buying and selling. These repeat clients/friends have helped me build my business with referrals of their friends. and family.  I like to be know as their Professional Real Estate agent, right up there with their Doctor, Lawyer, Dentist and Accountant.

We have two children Michael and Angela, and four grandchildren.  My daughter-in-law is also a Real Estate agent in the Barrie area, and my daughter just got her license as well.  Nice to know that we can cover one another off.

I would love to be your Professional Real Estate Agent, call me to see if I meet your needs.

Community Involvement

I believe in supporting the community you live in whether shopping or supporting local activities.  Currently I have helped with the support of Mardi Gras function being held in support for Southlake.  Helping the hospital in York Region with funds to build resources.

I helped in the production of the successful Aurora Canada Day Parade Volunteer Revival Committee.  We consisted of a committee of 9 members with a mandate to bring the Parade back to Aurora, Canada's Birthday Town, it was cancelled in 2007 due to lack of interest.  Our challenge was  to raise funds, promote public awarness that the parade was once again happening, obtain bands, and groups to take part in the parade, and then on the day actually control the events  and see that everything ran smoothly.

It was a large committment but we made it happen.  Bigger and Better than before were the local headlines and Mother Nature shone down on us to create a wonderful red and white morning on July 1st on Yonge St in Aurora.
