When you are preparing your home to be shown, try to visualize yourself walking into your home for the first time. What would you think? Does it feel fresh and clean? Is it "homey" without being too personalized or cluttered. Does it smell nice without being overbearing? Strong fragrances may lead buyers to think you are covering something up! Does it look like it is "move-in" ready or is there a lot of work that needs to be done? These are a few of the common questions potential buyers will be asking themselves, either consciously or subconciously as they make their buying decisions.
Remember the buyers are likely only shopping for one home right now and they are going to choose the home that best suits their needs and seems like the best value to them - You want them to choose your home. Put your best foot forward to make the best first impression - whether it the first showing or the 21st showing your home is getting.
