ROMAN: I recently had a buyer who told me under no condition would he submit an offer in a multiple offer situation. This was unfortunate because he immediately lost out on a property which suited his needs and budget perfectly without ever putting pen to paper. Remember what Wayne Gretzky once said, "You miss 100 per cent of the shots you don't take." Competing offers do add another level of complexity during the process of buying a house, but it's easy to get the upper hand when you're in a multiple offer situation if you do the market research, have a firm negotiating strategy and hire an experienced real estate agent. These elements combined puts you in the best position for a property win.
