Canada's December existing home sales fall from November levels

Canada’s housing marking ended the year on a high note, defying predictions of a soft landing even as dark clouds gathered over regions of the country exposed to plunging oil prices.

Home resale jumped 10 per cent from the previous December, the Canadian Real Estate Association reported. More than 506,000 homes changed hands throughout 2015, making it the most active year since 2007.
