If being around the corner from South Arm Park is what you are looking for, then Country Club Estates has lots of location, location, location. Straddling both sides of Ryan Road, just south of the apartments at Stornoway (no rentals, no pets, 19+ age restriction means quiet neighbors!), the 56-unit townhouse complex offers two styles of residences. Situated in the center of Ryan Crescent, the larger 3 bedroom units have attached carports. On the other side of Ryan Road, there are slightly smaller 3 bedroom units and 2 bedroom units configured in four blocks of 8 units. All have detached carports. Each block has two light wells and two breezeways. Each 2-level unit has an individual street address, door-to-door mail delivery and curbside garbage pick up. The complex is one of the city's test projects for reen recycling -- a green garbage can has been supplied to each unit for food and garden waste. This is picked up on Wednesdays along with the regular garbage and recycling pick up. Rentals are not allowed. The complex has no age restrictions. Pets of all sizes are welcome (more than one pet does need council approval). The flat roofs throughout the complex were replaced in 2003 and have a 10-year warranty. The mansard roof replacement project began August 2011. One mansard roof will be replaced this summer by Broadway Roofing Ltd. Ryan Road runs east of No 3 Road, Richmond BC between Williams and Steveston Highway. The complex can also be accessed from Steveston Highway via Mortfield Gate. Lots of nearby shopping at Ironwood and Broadmoor Shopping Centers.
