Why is it that visiting a paint store is like going to a candy store? It is hard to resist picking up colour chips. I popped into Benjamin Moore and picked up their Colour Trends 2014 brochure this week. It seems like the paint I was picking up, Oxford White, isn't as trendy as Distant Gray or White Dove right now...hmmm.
"Our Colour Trends 2014 palette is less about where you're going and more about where you come from -- while most of your life requires you to be absolutey up to the moment, when you come home to this palette, we want to be sure you're fully in the moment." -- from the Benjamin Moore website.
See the complete palette on the website. With colours like Peach Parfait, Fruit Shake and Lavender Mist, there is definitely a feeling of going back in time to the pastel shades of Grandma's house. These are combined with bold shades like Van Deusen Blue, Super Nova (think eggplant) and Black Satin for that wow factor we associate with display suites. The Colour of the Year? Breath of Fresh Air 806 (pictured above).
