Steveston's Westwater Views


Located at the south end of Railway Avenue in Richmond, BC with Homma Elementary School on one side and Britannia Heritage Shipyards behind it, Westwater Views is a 78-unit complex in three buildings built over a common parking garage (12871, 12873, and 12875 Railway Avenue). There is a recreation room for owners on the parking level (easily accessed from the elevator at 12871 Railway) with a lending library and a patio area. Reservations for private functions can be made with a $50 refundable user fee. The complex was built in 1989 around a central landscaped courtyard. For easy drop off and pick ups, there is a circular driveway at the entrance with 15-minute loading zone parking. Two pets are allowed (one cat and one dog OR two dogs OR two cats). Rentals are limited to eight of the 78 units. In 2011, the complex voted to go on the City's water meter program which means the maintenance fee will now include water and sewer charges. Ten of the units have two levels. All of the units are spacious. The developer's original sales brochure offered 13 distinctive floorplans in three colour schemes (almond, peach and grey) and described the project as having "The undeniable sense of seclusion and the freedom from city life." Each unit has insuite laundry and an individual electric hot water tank. It is a short walk back to Steveston Village from the complex (approximately half a mile down the dyke trail).
