Some things just can't help but take your breath away. Visited the River Green StoryCenter (sales office) at 5111 Hollybridge Way, Richmond last week and didn't want to leave the kitchen which is scheduled to be installed in the project's villas. Featuring Snaidero cabinetry and Miele appliances, its sleek all white look is a nice balance to the dramatic river and mountain views just beyond the windows. Imagine Arctic white gloss monolacquer cabinets combined with pure white Caesarstone counters and backsplash. Add a 36" Subzero fridge (hidden behind matching cabinetry...it's to the right of the orange bowl in the center of the photo's back corner behind the island) which will keep food three times fresher than a regular fridge. Then throw in a Miele gas cooktop, convection oven, steam oven, warming drawer, cappuccino maker and an incognito dishwasher. The Snaidero Orange series cabinets are exclusive to River Green in British Columbia. Snaidero is the largest Italian kitchen exporter to North America and can be found in Chicago's Trump Tower, Robert De Niro's Tribeca Lofts in New York and the San Francisco Fairmont's penthouse suite. I'm impressed. The project's largest villas range in size from 3380 - 3850 sq ft and start from $3,050,000 for occupancy in 2013. River Green is located directly along the river between the No. 2 Road and Dinsmore bridges, next to the Olympic Oval. The project will feature 28 - 30 buildings on 28 acres of land and will be developed in four phases over the next 10 years by Aspac Developments Ltd, the creator of luxury living at Coal Harbor in Vancouver.
