World's Largest Mailbox

Have you mailed your letter to Santa yet? If not, Canada Post has set up a monster-size mailbox in front of the main library. Santa's address is easy: Santa Claus, North Pole, Canada HOH OHO. Letters to Santa can be left here or deposited in any mailbox. Don't worry -- there is an easy to reach mail slot on the back side of the mailbox. If you include your return address, Santa will write back. Letters to Santa do not require postage.  The library is at 7700 Minoru Gate, Richmond BC.

In December 2000, Canada Post Corporation was awarded the Guiness World Record for the World's Largest Mailbox when they installed this mailbox in downtown Vancouver. It measures 17'10" high x 7'2" wide x 6'6 deep.
They held the world record until November 10, 2009 when Gwangsan-gu office (Korea) created a mailbox in Gwangju, South Korea that measured 22 ft 11" high x 9'10" long x 9'10"wide!

The library can be found near the corner of Granville Avenue, Richmond BC and Minoru Boulevard. The mailbox is located in the plaza in front of the library.
