January 24, 2011 – Today The City launched a system that will allow the development industry the ability to request subdivision development agreements online. The City is continually working towards moving more services online to improve the customer experience.
“The Development Industry has been asking for more City services to be available online and we are listening. We are very pleased to be able to offer this to our customers,” says Joel Armitage, manager of Urban Development. “This new system provides better access and convenience to request development agreements and that is a huge step in the right direction of providing the services our customers want to see online.”
The purpose of the development agreement is to put in contractual form the responsibilities of the developer and of The City for the development of land approved for subdivision.
More information and access to the new system can be found by visiting Calgary.ca/ud.
The City of Calgary is working towards making all applicable permitting, approval and licensing services available online. These services will make it easier for customers to conduct business with The City. Development agreements online is one of the first services to be offered online for our customers.
