Wasaga Beach (variant: Wasaga) is a town in Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada. Situated along the longest freshwater beach in the world, it is a popular summer tourist destination, located along the southern end of Georgian Bay, approximately two hours north of Toronto, and neighbours, to the west, the town of Collingwood. Wasaga Beach is situated along 14 kilometres (8.7 mi)of sandy beach on Nottawasaga Bay and the winding Nottawasaga River.
According to everyone else it`s very simple... Going to Wasaga Beach means Summer has arrived! This year the start of Wasaga Beach Season began on Victoria Day Long Weekend. People started arriving early in anticipation of Electric Elements Festival, which took place on Sun., May 17th - Canada`s largest, legendary May 2-4 party.
That is how you know Summer begins... all that was quiet for the Winter season comes to life once again. All the waterfront business were open. People, local and visitors alike took the time to stroll along the beach, stop for ice cream and watch the Sunset.
Don`t worry if you missed it, Wasaga Beach will be there all Summer Long!
