Now into the eighth year of riding with all girls, the Roxy Ride Shred Program is back at Blue Mountain in Collingwood with its amazing annual all girls freestyle snowboard school in Ontario. Stopping province wide at Blue Mountain, Lakeridge, Glen Eden, Horseshoe and Beaver Valley, the girls program continues to be a great success!
In 2011, Roxy partnered with the Women's Snowboard Federation and the Canadian Snowboard - Women in Snowboarding program to create this snowboarding school for all girls. The program demonstrates the dire need for an all girls coaching program in the province of Ontario.
For those girls who really want to push their boundaries, Roxy offers the Roxy Core Program for girls who are looking for a more intensive training and competitive riding program. Spaces are limited, so sign up now! This includes competition training, smaller coach to class ratio, regular communication with your coach with upcoming events, competitive training schedule and development pathway. For ages 15 and up.
About the Program:
The Roxy Rides program gives girls ages 13 and up the opportunity to learn how to “jump, shred and slay the pipe” alongside some of Canada’s top female coaches. The biggest part of the program is based on fun, progression and encouragement,” says founder Eve Northmore.
The All Girls Program initially started as Inverno Clinics running weekly at a grassroots level. Growing quickly to be the Women’s Snowboard Federation, providing private clinics, a shred sister’s events team, and various events through partnership organizations such as Rugged Riders and the Association of Ontario Snowboarders and the national Women In Snowboarding program, the All Girls Program will continue to grow the rising snowboard scene for girls across Ontario and Canada.
