The Mill Cafe In Thornbury

Looking for the perfect casual dining destination for lunch or dinner in the quaint village of

Downtown Thornbury?  The Mill Café sits perched on the banks of the Beaver River overlooking

the picturesque mill pond and encompasses a warm, relaxing atmosphere.

Under new management of award winning Chef Andrew Barber and his wife Sylvia (both

formerly of Simplicity Bistro), the Mill features local fare influenced by the seasons and offers

daily lunch, dinner and brunch on Sunday’s.

July of this year, the Mill Café underwent changes in management incorporating Andrew's

innovative new dishes, supplemented by the existing fare that’s so popular with Mill

customers.  In addition to the fine selection of soups, burgers, steak, pastas and seafood, there

is also a fabulous children's menu and Sunday brunch.

The wine list features Solo Contigo - an exclusive line of premium and super premium wines

from the owner's boutique winery in Argentina. To learn more about the owners' vineyard in

Manager, Sylvia Barber, explains the menu as ‘fresh, local, ever-changing and family oriented’.

“We took over and let the restaurant speak to us,” says Sylvia.  As a tourist destination, located

on the pond, the Mill Café caters to all tastes and likes.  With daily specials, Caesar Sundays, $1

Cork It Wednesday evenings (bring your own wine) and occasional local talent, the Mill Café is a

must visit!

This New Years, the Mill Café is featuring an á la cart menu with a special piano performance

you’ll be sure to ‘write home about’, from 6-10pm.  The regular menu will also be available.

Please call ahead as spaces are limited.

If you haven’t made a trip to Thornbury and the mill pond, it’s time to! The Mill Café is a place

where you can unwind and enjoy some great food while you sip on fine wine.  You won’t be
