City Information
Collingwood, ON

Collingwood is situated on Nottawasaga Bay at the southern point of Georgian Bay. It has established itself as a four-season tourist area and with its proximity to Blue Mountain, the town has become the major recreation area for the southern part of Ontario. Collingwood is also a short distance from the popular Wasaga Beach Provincial Park.

It was incorporated as a town in 1858, and named after Admiral Lord Collingwood, Lord Nelson's second in command at the Battle of Trafalgar.

The downtown core has been designated an official Heritage District and many buildings have been restored to their original greatness. There are great opportunities for business and tourism in this area.

With Blue Mountain ski resorts and the many golf courses in the area, this is truly a 4-season family destination.
