Door Knocking for My Clients!

I wanted to discuss how I help my clients find the right home.  I am not certain that many of my clients and future clients are aware of how valuable this service is that I provide.  For instance, if I have a buyer who is looking in a specific area and unfortunately a home is not available.  This is when I get proactive and go out to ask home owners if they are contemplating a move.  Many times the answer is no, but more often than not, I am able to find my buyers homes, which are not even listed. 


I have been told that colleagues, Realtors and people in general, would rather have a root canal than actually knock on a strangers door.  Certainly, I can appreciate the nervousness that others might feel, especially when the answer is "no" more often than "yes".  Personally, I take a different approach.  I look at it like I am trying to help and when you are helping and not thinking about your own feelings, the nervousness goes away.  I also treat it like an adventure.  Meaning it is exciting for me, to find my client the perfect house.
