College Park

Oakville's College Park is located between Sixteen Mile Creek and just east of Trafalgar Road, from the Queen Elizabeth Way Highway north to Upper Middle Road. It surrounds Sheridan College.  The area is well established and has property to suit practically all housing needs.  Diverse and friendly College Park truly has something to offer everyone.   

Oakville Place Mall is also located in College Park and is the heart of department store shopping.  Golf courses such the Oakville Golf Club are in, or very close to, College Park.  Many parks and beautiful walking and biking trails meander through College Park.  A lot of trails end with a breath taking view of Sixteen Mile Creek.

College Park is popular with commuter families.  Oakville Go transit is just south of the QEW.  Comfortable executive brick homes with two car garages are prevalent.  The average price is between $450,000 to $650,00.  On the high end of that price range you will find homes loaded with upgrades and has a large master bedroom with en-site bathroom.  Hardwood and fireplaces are also normally found.  Larger lots in this established make finding a home with a swimming pool a real possibility.

Children’s education is often what attracts families to the College Park.  Excellent public, French emersion and private schools are located in the area.

Very generous lots around 75 X 187 between Leighland Ave and the North service roads have become popular with people looking to build that large dream home.  Some very affordable bungalows still sit on many of these lots.  The average price for a three bedroom bungalow is around $400,000.  The updated luxury homes sell for over $1000,000.  

Four bedroom family homes on mature tree lined streets are priced between $400,000 and $600,000.  The difference in price is dictated by the amount of upgrades the home has.  

If you are looking to downsize but still would like a nice sized lot College Park offers many bungalows.  If you prefer condo or town house living College park has options for you to.  The area is loaded with town homes both freehold and non-freehold that are often located on ravine lots.  

Investors need look no further than College Park to find a great income generating property.  Sheridan College is world-renowned and attracts student renters from all over the globe.  Courses start all times of the year providing a steady flow of income.  Students pay $500- $600 for a shared accommodation room in a house.  Or for a self contained one bedroom unit around  $800- $1000 is the rate depending on the quality of the unit.
