Nearby Parks and Other Attractions
Just west of Milton lies the former township of Nassagaweya which became part of the Town of Milton in 1974. The name “Nassagaweya” is derived from the Mississauga word nazhesahgewayyong, meaning 'river with two outlets.' This refers to the fact that watercourses in the township drain to both Lake Ontario and the Grand River system.

This area is very picturesque, dotted with horse farms and rural estates, and offers many hidden gems, such as art studios and bakeries. This is where you will find the charming village of Campbellville, just south of the 401 at Guelph Line.

Things to Do
The winding hilly roads surrounding Campbellville make it a favourite for cyclists and motorcyclists while the several Conservation Areas in the surrounding countryside are very popular for hiking and mountain biking. Hilton Falls Conservation Area has a scenic 10 metre waterfall surrounded by the mysterious ruins of a mill. Burns Conservation Area offers short trails and a small pond where you can fish for large-mouth bass and sunfish. Crawford Lake Indian Village encourages you to step back in time and explore the 15th century Iroquoian village that has been reconstructed on its original site.


Mountsberg Conservation Area is a popular interpretive centre that hosts a Maple Syrup Festival every spring.
Rattlesnake Point has amazing scenic viewing with five breathtaking lookouts from the towering cliffs that are a favourite with rock climbers.


While the Village of Campbellville is widely known as the home of Mohawk Racetrack and OLG Slots, it is also home to some very interesting shops and businesses. Just south of town you will find The Stonehouse of Campbellville, an antique leaded stained glass store and studio whose absolutely incredible outdoor Christmas display attracts people from all over southern Ontario. For fishing enthusiasts, Fish 4 Trout is a popular public fishing preserve and recreational venue for families, groups and fly fishermen.
There are parks for fun or relaxing and construction has just been completed on the Nassagaweya Tennis Club's brand-new tennis facility at the 401 and Guelph Line.
