Martindale is a beautiful, mid-sized community located deep in Calgary’s northeast quadrant. Just shy of ~13,000 of Calgary’s residents call the community of Martindale home, over one-third of which are between the ages of 25 and 44 (City of Calgary, 2012). Homeowners and renters in Martindale are ~15 minutes from the premier Cross Iron Mills Outlet Mall. From toy stores to premier retail outlets, Cross Iron has stores to keep every member of the family occupied! Sunridge Mall is also a ~5km drive from the community and aims to please.
Residents of Martindale are within walking distance to Martindale Park – a great place for the kids to play and a nice walk. A ~15 minute drive away is the popular Nose Hill Park. Nose Hill Park covers 11 square kilometers and is one of the largest residential parks in Canada (Calgary.ca, 2012)! With numerous playgrounds and trails throughout, Nose Hill Park is an excellent place to escape suburbia and enjoy the outdoors. The golfers in the family are sure to love the quick drive to Fox Hollow Golf Club. Fox Hollow is a great place to learn and will give even the most experienced golfers a challenge!
Commute to the downtown core? Residents of Martindale enjoy ease of access to the Martindale and Saddletowne LRT stations. Both are under 2km from the community and will have residents downtown in ~35 minutes. For those residents that travel frequently by air, the Calgary International Airport is under 10 minutes from the community!
