Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit my website.  Whether you are buying or selling real estate in the Ottawa Valley, I’m here to guide you through the process.  Relocation can be an emotional experience, so I will do everything I can to make your move as smooth as possible and take away your stress.

Professional Background

I have served over 18 years in the Canadian Forces as a Resource Management Support Clerk.  During my military career I experienced many House Hunting Trips, Moves, and Real Estate transactions.  I will be familiar to many Canadian Forces members from working at the Signals Squadron, Base Personnel Selection, and other bases in various administration and finance positions that I filled during that time.  The position that I enjoyed the most was in the Reception and Despatch section of CFB Petawawa, processing military moves prior to the implementation of the Integrated Relocation Program (IRP).  I was there for the transition of the pilot program prior to it’s implementation during which time I assisted my superiors in identifying problem areas and identifying solutions.  It was therefore only natural that I would choose a second career where I could apply the skill sets that I have, and work in a profession that I truly enjoy,

My overseas deployments and imposed restrictions as a service member, and my experiences as a military wife being the one back home while my spouse deployed have given me a huge insight to the challenges our military clientele are facing.  I’m proud to have served and just as proud to continue to serve those who serve. 

 

Professional Interests

I take a keen interest in charity.  Some may know me from Girl Guides of Canada, United Way events, National Defence Workplace Charitable Campaign, Easter Seals, Smiles for Seniors, or various charity runs I have done in the past.  I like to volunteer and get involved in the community; if you have a charity event and require some assistance, please contact me to discuss my availability!

I am IRP approved and have experienced several moves under the CFIRP.  I am eager to assist you with the sale of your home!  After our initial contact, I will visit your home to get a feel for the unique aspects of your property and how they affect its’ value.  I will return with a free Current Market Analysis (CMA) of your property, complete with room by room feedback.  Once you list with me at Century 21 Neville Realty Ltd Brokerage, your home will be given its’ own website URL, normally related to the address of your property (ie www.123nuthatchdrive.com).  The address of this website will be put on a sign rider that sits right on top of the For Sale sign on your lawn.  It will also be advertised on the brokerage website, MLS, my personal website and newspaper advertisements.  When a potential buyer goes to your unique property website, he or she will not be confused by any other listings as yours will be the only one on the site. Your website will offer valuable information to the buyer, and include many additional photos that cannot be seen on your MLS listing due to limitations.

In many cases I can recommend a REALTOR® at your destination base; I only refer to REALTORS® whom I either know personally, have used with very high results, or come highly recommended from friends, family and past clientele.  I will work with you and your REALTOR® at your destination base to make your move as smooth as possible.

Call me and make your House Hunting Trip (HHT) a smooth success!

I am IRP approved, and having experienced several moves under this program I am quite familiar with your needs.  I will do everything I can to make your HHT a success, starting as soon as you contact me.  When possible I will be traveling to certain bases to give information sessions on buying homes in the Ottawa Valley.  This presentation will give you the opportunity to meet with your REALTOR® face to face prior to a hectic week of shopping for your new home.  It will also give you the chance to make an informed decision about where you want to buy, and hopefully narrow down your search criteria prior to the commencement of your HHT.  Once I have your criteria, I will record it in our computer system so that every time a home is listed that meets your criteria, the listing will be immediately sent to your e-mail address!

Education

During my childhood, most of my schooling was done right here in the Valley at Our Lady of Lourdes, Bishop Smith and Opeongo.  I attended University of Ottawa for a year prior to joining the Canadian Forces.  I enjoy learning and have pursued both military and university courses during my military career.  I have completed all OREA College courses required to become a real estate broker, so that I may have more knowledge to share with my clients. 

I approach learning as a life long process, and continue to take courses to broaden my knowledge, add to my tools and keep up to date on the changes that affect my profession.

Community Involvement

I enjoy volunteer work and being involved in the community.  There are so many charities and organizations that strive to make the Ottawa Valley such an amazing place to live!  If you have a charity event that requires volunteers, please let me know how I can help. 

When I served in the Canadian Forces I was very active in the United Way campaign, Smiles for Seniors and other charity events.  In the spirit of continuing to support the local community, a portion of every sale or purchase is donated to the local hospital MRI campaign and/or to the Easter Seals program which supports disabled children and youth in our area.  Money collected through Easter Seals allows families access to equipment that they would normally not be able to afford for their disabled children, and also is used to sponsor these kids to go to a special summer camp where everything is fully accessible and round the clock care is provided.  If you would like to read more about the Easter Seals, please visit their website at:

Personal Background

My parents came to the Ottawa Valley when I was five years old and we stayed in the area until I finished 10th grade.  Including my childhood and part of my military career I have spent over 20 years in the local area.  I currently live in Whitewater Region but have also resided in the Pembroke, Laurentian Valley and Petawawa areas.  Since I have attended both public and separate schools and my children have attended both French Immersion (General Lake), École Secondaire Jeanne-Lajoie and Bishop Smith. I am quite familiar with the area school systems.  I am married to a Medical Technician and am the proud parent of two grown daughters, a Chocolate Lab and a Pug/Jack Russell cross.

Personal Interests

When I'm not working I enjoy curling, camping, scrap booking, card making or simply spending time with family and friends within the community.  I have three very playful dogs that make the outdoors and simple things in life lots of fun!
