The new BC Government legislated standards of practice (SOP) for home inspectors specifically excludes the inspection for environmental concerns - such as mould, mildew, fungus; radon; asbestos; etc. Home inspectors that have the industry required errors and ommissions insurance must follow the SOP and not exceed it or they will not be insured for an error or ommission in those areas they exceed.
