WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE

The Bay of Quinte and Brighton, Northumberland County are popular retirement/relocation spots because of their close proximity to Toronto and its beautiful scenery. Only 135kms on the 401 and you're back in the bustle of the city. Coupled with the booming buyers market and low mortgage rates, it's hard to see a down side.  Now is the time to invest in Real Estate. Buying a property or piece of land is a far more stable return than the volatile stock markets we have been experiencing in the recent past.

My name is Natasha Huizinga, I am a Realtor with Century 21 Lanthorn. I can help you make a sound investment in your future, by finding you a perfect retreat property or perhaps a home to retire to, possibly in one of the county's many adult community sub divisions. With a good mix of new homes and century homes I am confident there is a home to suit everyone in this wonderful place I call home.

Whether it's waterfront, rural, or central you are looking for we have it all! Century 21 is the ONLY Real Estate Company that can offer you Air Miles Reward miles on your sale and/or purchase. So call me today so we can start the exciting search for your dream home!

    FIRST TIME HOME BUYERS

There is a lot to consider when buying your first home. Some things you may ask yourself, Can I really afford to buy? What are closing costs? What style of home do I want? What programs are there for first time home buyers? Where do I want to live? Are there good schools or shopping in the area? All of these questions are answered in the process your REALTOR goes through with you when buying a home. Together we find out what it is you want and can afford, where would be the best area for your needs and understanding of government programs you may qualify for. Call me today for more information on how I can help you!

REAL ESTATE IS STILL ONE OF THE BEST INVESTMENTS YOU CAN MAKE

Despite recent slowdowns in some markets, housing remains a good long-term investment, and demographic demand favors housing over the long term.

Homeownership offers  immediate benefits and long-term value.

Homeowners accumulate wealth for the future while enjoying the benefits of a shelter that they can use, improve and sell.

8 Simple Tips to Sell your Home in a Buyers Market!

    • Set your Price competitively.
    • Offer incentives, like painting allowance or flooring allowance to detract from outdated or worn interior.
    • Offer to pay nonrecurring, closing costs, title insurance, credit reports, loan appraisal, property inspections.
    • Get a home inspection, head off potential hidden issues before you list.
    • Be flexible in negotiations
    • Create good curb appeal, remember a first impression is everything!
    • Focus on the walls , fix up any chips or cracks.
    • De-clutter, De-clutter, De-clutter, is almost as important as Location, Location, Location!

    Professional Interests

My professional interests are keeping connected with the local Brighton community and markets to better serve my clients and to stay informed on political decisions affecting Real Estate. Being a more active member of the Municipality of Brighton

    Personal Background

I was born in Hertforshire England. I immigrated to Canada in 1974 with my family, where we called the wonderful city of Toronto home. I met my husband by chance in Toronto, who was also originally from England. We married in our early twenties, and we have 2 fantastic kids; a boy and a girl. We moved to the "Dinosaur Capital of the World" Drumheller, Alberta for my Husband's employment, and spent 10 years in the "Badland's". The population of Drumheller is about 6500; which was a nice change of pace from Toronto, but we missed our family who were all still in Ontario. So in late 2006, we made another trip across Canada, and settled in the Brighton Area.

    Community Involvement

I am active within my community of Brighton by way of lending support to causes in the area.

    Professional Background

I have a strong background in Customer Service and Business Administration. I believe that buying or selling a home does not need to be stressful, nor challenging given the right person working on your team. A high level of dedication to every transaction is required, along with excellent communication and negotiating skills. I would love the opportunity to serve you in your next endeavour.
