CITY SAVES MONEY ON RAVINE STABILIZATION

Members of City Council are pleased, and they should be - they saved more than $1.2 million at council last night.  A project to stabilize the ravines on Sunset Drive, originally estimated to cost nearly $1.8 million, instead came in at $516.859.45.  Mayor Heather Jackson and Alderman Tom Johnston were particularly pleased..

The surplus fromthis construction could go to other projects around the City, as Jackson point out he are other places where stabilization could be used.  The project was funded from the Gas Tax.
