The issue .... Septic Tanks. The resolution .... still unknown. That was the result of Monday's Central Elgin Council meeting which saw the council chambers packed with dozens of residents from the Eastwood subdivision.
The area includes around 300 homes on Centennial Ave, Lois Ave, Tracey Ave, Peter St., Nora Plaxe and Coulter Ave.
The other issue is that the cost to remove the septic tanks and connect them to a sewer system could cost each household $18,500..
Grant requests have already been put out to both the federal and provincial governments to help reduce the cost of the project. No decision has officially been made by council on whether or not the project will go through.
