The Great Lakes International Airshow held a volunteer appreciation BBQ at the St.Thomas Airport on Sunday. Along with that, from the proceeds raised this year, cheques were presented to community partners who were involved in the show.
Exzecutive Director of GLIAS Hugh Shields says the show faired well this year compared to others in North America.
In total, $20,000 was distributed into the community. The St.Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation received $9000, the Military Family Resource Cent re was presented with $3000., St.John Ambulance was given $3000., the 741 Cadets Squadron received $2000 and the 3 Parking Partners each got $1000.
