Fall market is heating up

Hello everyone, been a while since my last blog, so thought I would take a couple moments to get you caught up.

Recently the Saskatoon and area market has started to get rolling again. After what has been a little bit of and up and down 12-18 months, the market has somewhat stabilized and buyer confidence has returned. With that in mind, Sellers still need to be realistic with selling prices, and when they are, they have been realizing sales sooner rather than much later. Buyers continue to enjoy good interest rates, however, with the latest interest rate increases, some buyers have started opting for closed versus variable mortgages. Although there have been increases, overall, interest rates continue to be favourable for Buyers in todays market. Mortgage approval requirements have also changed a little bit, making amounts people can spend a little different today than they were 12 - 24 months ago. This is to protect Buyers from having what happened to the United States happen here in Canada, as well, a bit of a reaction to the Toronto and Vancouver markets. I have some great contacts for mortgage specialists who would take the time to go over the right product for your needs if and when you are ready to purchase.

If you are thinking of Selling and would like a no pressure market evaluation, please feel free to give me a call anytime, and if you are thinking of Buying, give me a call and we can sit down to discuss a plan to help you get pre-approved, narrow down your wants and needs and find you the right home.
