Voice of Reason, No Housing Bubble for the Rest of Us...
Confirms what local agents have been saying for some time in the Collingwood/Blue Mountain area. Prices started cooling about a year ago around here. The numbers may say otherwise in terms of "average price" of homes sold, but these numbers are skewed by the slight increase in high Value homes sold in the area.
The truth is, there is serious value in the area and a lot of inventory to consider. This isn't Toronto or Vancouver, this is a stable market tilting slightly in favour of the buyer. If you are considering a purchase in the area, interest rates are becoming more affordable. If you are waiting for a bubble to burst before wading in, it's not going to happen. There are lots of offerings here that are reasonably priced, and they don't last long!
