This morning I had an appointment to show a listing to a Buyer of mine.   It was in a great neighborhood with everything she wanted.   It seemed like it could have possibly been a good choice for her.    WRONG

Here's how it went.    Lightbulbs burned out in almost every room in the house.  Dishes everywhere. Grime everywhere.  Clutter in every room of the house.  Beds unmade, clothes strewn everywhere.  The bathroom.... well we wont even go there.   She walked in and in 5 minutes turned around and walked out with a very negative attitude towards the house. 

It may have been the one... it was exactly where she wanted to be.  It had the right number of bedrooms, baths and space required for her and her children and in her price range.

What happened ???   She could not get past the mess.  She couldn't see the structure of the home, the features that should have appealed to her.   She couldn't  visualize it ever being her home.

First impressions count!    A clean uncluttered home is an absolute must if you really want to sell it.     I may be able to see past the mess but most Buyers are immediately turned off by it.    This is a perfect example of it.
