What a turn out.
The mall (Parkland Mall) appeared to be jammed packed from 1:00 - 2:00 today and slowly got a bit quieter the closer it came to 4:00. The unofficial count in based on Halloween candy. This year we picked up what added up to 2,000 pieces of candy.
What started as an alternative to taking the kids door to door in cold weather is now the start of Halloween festivities ...

Red Deer lies in the "parkland" of Alberta. Evident when driving North from Calgary on The QE2 highway, you are welcomed by rolling hills, green fields and trees galore.
