Cold September Slows Down Buyers Or Has It.

Total Listing inventory in the City of Red Deer has declined to the their lowest level 777 properties listed for sale since the end of May (767).  While that may be perceived as high for our market place in comparison to previous years it is a positive sign for sellers and further evidence that buyers should be moving to take advantage of market conditions.  The weekly sales volume is also comparable to that time frame as well.

Today if you are buying you have great selection in the City of Red Deer.  There is presently listed on our MLS®:

  • Total Properties Residential 777
  • Single Family Homes (houses) 481
  • Half Duplexes, 57
  • Townhouses, 72
  • Apartment Condos, 113

The lowest price property starts at $15,900 (a mobile home) and the highest price point presently is a home located in the city in Riverview Park on a 1.16 acre park asking $1,950,000.  That's quite the price range.  Red Deer has plenty of variety and choices today for buyers and real estate investors to choose from.

Is the economy turning and real estate on the up swing?

Whether or not those numbers are high or low I don't know but speaking with fellow business owners in the area there is a shortage of skilled trades in Red Deer.  That shortage could very well translate to people moving into the area to fill that need.
